To register with the troop, please direct the parent to the scouting registration page (they should see Troop 0002 Christ’s Church Rye at the top). From there, they can register, pay, and then we will be notified and be able to add the scout into the troop once registration is completed.

We will send you an invoice for annual dues via PayPal, which are currently $275 per year. If joining mid-year, the dues will be pro-rated. The scouting year broadly follows the school year. If this amount would present a financial challenge for your family, please let us know, as need-based scholarships are available.

Purchase a "Class A" Boy Scout Uniform and Scout Book at the local scout shop in Greenwich, CT or online at www.scoutshop.org. For the uniform, check out this handy guide of what scouts will need:

You will also need a few patches, to sew on the uniform shirt:
· A Greater Hudson Valley Council patch
· A green "2" troop number patch
· A purple global scouting patch (if it isn't pre-sewn)

Also please pick up a copy of the Boy Scout Handbook, along with a zip-close cover (with the Scout’s name and Rye, NY Troop 2 written on it)

The Troop will provide you with a Troop 2 neckerchief, so that does not need to be purchased.  Boy scout hats and socks are optional.
